The numbers are as impressive as the products themselves: 50 internationally renowned companies sent 108 exceptional beauty products into the race, competing for the vote in 14 categories of the BEAUTY FORUM Stars Awards; in addition, there were 36 nominations in the company categories “Image, Service Level and Sustainability” – all based on a total of 40,000 votes. The joy of the award winners was great at the festive gala, which was duly celebrated on November 26 at the new Hotel Kronasar in Europa Park Rust. The program offered an illustrious arc of excitement – and that was also the case for the second live award ceremony of the evening, that of the .COM CONTEST.
“The BEAUTY FORUM Stars Awards were presented live under this title for the second time and for the first time, the .COM CONTEST as well. And we are just as happy as the beaming award winners about these great live premieres at the gala on Friday evening,” says Achim Erndwein, Events and Sales Director and member of the Management Board Health and Beauty. Of course, the event took place under the provisions of the currently applicable Corona Ordinance.

However, before the award ceremony for the most popular professional beauty products could take place, reflecting the who’s who of manufacturers and suppliers from the professional cosmetics, nail market and foot care/podiatry sectors, voting was allowed. From July 1 to August 31, votes were cast vote-per-click by users*.
“The big technical innovation in the BEAUTY FORUM Stars Awards this year was the technical platform ‘Awardforce’, which helped us a lot to achieve reliable and serious voting results,” explains Achim Erndwein. “We can state quite clearly and unequivocally at this point: the security and control mechanisms worked excellently.”
Prix d’Honneur de la Beauté: Jobst-Peter Gerlach-von Waldthausen
The Prix d’Honneur de la Beauté was also awarded at the BEAUTY FORUM Stars Awards gala evening, which included a festive menu, an exciting entertainment program and a party afterwards. This award focuses on people who have rendered outstanding services to the industry. This year, Jobst-Peter Gerlach-von Waldthausen, long-time managing director of Eduard Gerlach GmbH (GEHWOL and Gerlach Technik brands) was honored with the “Oscar of the industry for lifetime achievement.”

The BEAUTY FORUM Stars Awards were selected and presented in the product categories Apparative Cosmetics – Technology, Booth Equipment, Style – Make-up, Style – Lashes & Brows, Skincare – Classics and Skincare – Medical Beauty, as well as Natural & Organic, Nail – Technology, Hand & Nail – Products, Foot Care – Products, Foot Care – Technology, Wellness & Spa, Hair Removal and Most Innovative Product. The company categories are Service Level, Image and Sustainability.
Overall, the BEAUTY FORUM Stars Awards are among the most important awards in the professional beauty industry. What makes them special is that the voting results provide manufacturers with direct feedback from their users on which products are particularly popular, innovative or effective.
.COM CONTEST – short for .Creative Online Marketing CONTEST
With the .COM CONTEST, the B2B magazine BEAUTY FORUM BUSINESS honored outstanding online marketing by beauty institutes, nail studios and spas for the second time after 2020 and for the first time live. An expert jury selected the three best cosmetic institutes: Helene Schaaf and her team from the cosmetics institute of the same name in Pforzheim were delighted with 3rd place. The FACE & BODY Day Spa Munich, represented by the managing director Angelika Baur-Schermbach, was voted into 2nd place. And the winners are … The Prachtburschen Münster, represented by the managing directors Christoph Wendt and Michael Gebhardt. The “Prachtburschen – Mann lässt sich pflegen”, already took 2nd place in the .COM CONTEST last year.
30 criteria for the .COM CONTEST
The evaluation of the participants took place on the basis a fixed evaluation catalog with 30 criteria. Among other things, the findability on the net, the quality of the websites as well as the marketing in the social media.
