The most innovative products and the best companies in the professional cosmetics industry were honored above the rooftops of Frankfurt.
ETTLINGEN, NOVEMBER 21, 2022 – On November 18, the trade magazine BEAUTY FORUM presented the BEAUTY FORUM Stars Award 2022 in 11 exciting product categories and 7 company categories in a festive setting.
Under the motto “Black Velvet Sky Night”, this year’s gala awards ceremony took place at the FIFTY HEIGHTS event location 200 meters above the rooftops of Frankfurt. 2022 focused on the most innovative products in the categories cosmetics, nail, foot and specials as well as the best companies in the professional cosmetics industry. Long-time product bestsellers continued to find their consideration in the “Classics” category.
This year, 82 products were submitted by 51 participating companies. There were 37 nominations in the corporate categories. Users were able to cast their votes for their top products and their favorite products from July to September using the industry-leading online voting tool AwardForce.

The evening once again showed the innovative power of the professional beauty industry. Together, we can still move and achieve a great deal.”
For the first time, the BEAUTICIAN AWARD – an award for the best overall concept of successful beauty studios – was also presented as part of the BEAUTY FORUM Stars Awards. The participating institutes were able to apply with a personal presentation including an Instagram reel created especially for the submission. The winners were chosen by a top-class jury of experts (Nadine Engel, beauty expert, author and head of the Kosmetikakademie Engel in Hennef/ Stefan Häseli, communication expert, actor, author and speaker/ Sandra Schubert, sales expert, author and speaker).
“With the first BEAUTICIAN AWARD and the associated award, we would like to show the cosmetics professionals the appreciation they deserve. They can all be proud to work in this varied and beautiful profession,” said Director Publishing and Editor-in-Chief of BEAUTY FORUM Maxi Goewe.
The evening reached its highlight with the presentation of the Prix d’honneur de la Beauté to Wolfram Langer, Managing Director of Kryolan GmbH – a very special award that recognizes outstanding personalities in professional cosmetics for their long-standing commitment, promotion and further development of the industry.
Wolfram Langer, Managing Director of Kryolan GmbH: “I was invited as a guest and was awarded the Prix d’Honneur de la Beauté. For me it was a great surprise and it was a very emotional moment to receive this award. But actually it doesn’t belong to me alone, but also to my wife and family, who have always supported me.”
The BEAUTY FORUM Stars Award is one of the most important awards in the professional beauty industry and was presented for the third time in 2022. In 2020, the former market research-based BEAUTY FORUM Award and the online-based BEAUTY FORUM Readers’ Choice Award were merged to form today’s BEAUTY FORUM Stars Award.
