Beauty at the crossroads of science, skin health and entrepreneurship: the premiere of the BEAUTY FORUM Day in Wiesbaden demonstrated why expert advice is now becoming a crucial factor in the success of beauty salons
Ettlingen, 6th July 2026 – Today, beauty clients arrive at salons with a very different level of knowledge than they did just a few years ago. They discuss active ingredients, follow skincare trends on social media, are interested in longevity and regenerative skincare, and expect well-informed answers to increasingly specific questions. For beauty salons, this means that the professional interpretation of complex topics and the treatment concepts derived from them are increasingly becoming a decisive factor for success.
It was precisely this shift that was on focus at the BEAUTY FORUM Day in Wiesbaden, which celebrated its premiere on 5 th July 2026 in the historic Kurhaus Kolonnade. “Never before has in-depth specialist knowledge been as valuable as it is today. Beauty professionals must understand scientific developments, critically assess trends and be able to guide their clients. The BEAUTY FORUM Day brings precisely this knowledge to where it is needed – directly to beauty salons,” says Roberto Valente, CEO of Health and Beauty Germany GmbH.
The exclusive event offered the more than 220 beauty professionals in attendance a practical training program featuring the latest insights from science, skin health and business management. The focus was on the following topics, amongst others:
• ‘Ozempic Face’, skin burnout & skin longevity
• Hormonal skin and the specific characteristics of the peri-menopause and menopause
• Successful salon management, positioning and profitability
• The Aqua Facial as a modern treatment and additional revenue stream
It became clear that successful salons today need far more than just modern technologies or products. What is crucial is expert advice, a well-founded understanding of the skin and the ability to communicate scientific developments in an accessible way.
The program of talks was complemented by a trade exhibition featuring renowned beauty brands showcasing new products, innovative equipment and modern treatment concepts. Through face-to-face discussions with the exhibiting companies, visitors were able to gain fresh inspiration for their day-to-day salon work.
With its successful debut in Wiesbaden, the BEAUTY FORUM Day is expanding its series of events to include a further location. The compact one-day format demonstrates just how important regional platforms have become for professional development and expert exchange – particularly at a time when the professional beauty industry is evolving more dynamically than ever before.
The challenges facing the industry are becoming more complex, whilst at the same time opportunities are growing for salons that continuously undertake further training, integrate scientific findings into their work and support their clients with expertise, credibility and personalized advice.
