Ettlingen, 22st September 2026 – What does it take to be a successful beauty professional today? The BEAUTY FORUM Day Cologne on 20th September highlighted that, alongside technical expertise, entrepreneurial thinking, visibility and an eye for new treatment concepts are becoming increasingly important.
At the Steigenberger Hotel Cologne, more than 220 interested beauty professionals met with 18 exhibiting companies and brands. The focus was on one thing above all else: knowledge that can be directly applied to their own day-to-day professional lives.
From new treatments to a successful beauty business
The program of talks reflected the bandwidth of topics that beauty professionals are dealing with today:
- Natural permanent make-up for the over-40s: What opportunities does the over-40s target group offer for a high-end permanent make-up business, and what is key to achieving natural, type-appropriate results?
- Organic microneedling: How can the skin be stimulated naturally, and what potential do innovative methods such as algae peel treatments offer for professional cosmetics?
- Understanding skin picking: How can skin picking be recognized and categorized, and how can those affected clients be supported with empathy and professionalism at a beauty salon?
- Beauty as a business: How can beauty and nail salons operate more efficiently, increase their profitability and integrate entrepreneurial thinking more effectively into their day-to-day operations?
- Visibility & personal Branding: Why is professional expertise alone often no longer enough these days? The focus was on building your own brand and on how to effectively combine expertise, personality and social media.
- Skin results, customer loyalty & turnover: How can structured treatment concepts help to combine professional skin results with long-term customer loyalty and commercial success?
In this way, the BEAUTY FORUM Day Cologne linked current treatment and skincare topics with the business-related questions that concern many beauty professionals today: How do I further develop my professional expertise – and how do I turn it into a sustainable business?
Things got down to business even outside the talks: at the trade exhibition, visitors were able to find out about new products, innovative treatments, technologies and services, discover the latest innovations and engage directly with the companies.
The event in Cologne also marked the end of the 2026 BEAUTY FORUM Day season. The next major meeting point for the professional beauty industry is just around the corner: on 24th and 25th October 2026, the BEAUTY FORUM Festival will open its doors at Messe München.
