Podology in focus of preventive healthcare: Podology Congress Leipzig 2026

This Year’s Podology Congress Leipzig dedicated to “The foot throughout the course of life”

Ettlingen, March 9^th, 2026 – When it comes to health and mobility, one crucial part of the body is often underestimated: the foot. It carries us throughout our entire lives – from the first steps in childhood to advanced age. This holistic perspective was at the heart of the Podology Congress Leipzig, which took place on March 8, 2026, at the H4 Hotel in Leipzig and was organized by Health and Beauty Germany GmbH.

More than 120 participants, including podiatrists, foot care specialists, and medical professionals, gathered at the congress to exchange insights on current findings, therapeutic approaches, and practical solutions.

The Podology Congress Leipzig was organized in cooperation with the German Association for Podology (ZFD), Landesverband Sachsen-Anhalt e.V.. Under the central theme “The foot throughout the course of life,” the professional congress offered an intensive day of advanced training featuring scientifically based lectures, the latest studies, and an accompanying professional exhibition.

Podology as a key to prevention

With increasing life expectancy, a growing number of diabetes cases, and rising physical strain in everyday life, podiatric care is becoming increasingly important. The congress addressed these developments and highlighted the foot as a key element for mobility, quality of life, and prevention.

Topics ranged from children’s foot health and biomechanical relationships to the prevention of diabetic foot syndrome—covering a broad spectrum that positioned the foot as a companion through all stages of life.

The congress program offered foot care professionals high-level expert presentations with a strong practical focus on current topics in podology. The emphasis was on holistic perspectives, new scientific findings, and preventive as well as guideline-based approaches for everyday professional practice. Participants received a total of 7 certified continuing education credits for their professional development.

Exchange, knowledge and innovations – accompanying trade exhibition

The congress was accompanied by a professional exhibition featuring leading brands from the industry, including Allpresan, BEAHR, Diathera Derma, GEHWOL, iprax, PREVENTIS, RUCK, and SÜDA. Exhibitors presented their latest innovations, products, and practical solutions for everyday podiatric practice and were available for direct professional exchange with visitors.
